Whole bean coffee can be stored for 45 days and ground coffee is best for only about a week.

Grinders are available in various sizes and styles, from discount stores up through specialty shops and chef supply stores. Of the two types of grinders (blade and burr), the burr grinder is better but more expensive. Still, either style grinder will be sufficient for all but the most discerning professional cupper.
